Events, fairs and festivals for the weekend of June 20–21, 2025 in Piedmont
The first weekend of summer kicks off with a rich calendar of events, solstice festivals, local fairs, concerts, and cultural initiatives that herald the most anticipated season of the year. Among villages lit by candlelight, music in every corner of the region, new food festivals, and major patronal celebrations, on June 20 and 21, 2025, Piedmont comes alive with charm, emotion, and unmissable performances.
June 20 and 21, 2025 mark the official start of summer, and Piedmont is ready to celebrate with a series of unmissable events, including folk celebrations, centuries-old traditions, and brand-new experiences.
On Saturday, June 21, with the summer solstice, the Romantic Night in Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages returns—one of the most magical events of the year. Around 200 villages, many in Piedmont, will be lit by torches, candles, and soft lights to create an evening dedicated to love and beauty, lasting from dusk till dawn.
Also on June 21, the Fête de la Musique is celebrated, an international event held in over 120 countries and many cities across Piedmont. The 31st edition is themed “The Professions of Music”, with a focus on industry professions, workplace safety, and the environment. Shows, concerts, and initiatives will take place in squares, theaters, and public spaces, involving both professional and amateur musicians.
Among the new features this weekend, in Castagnole delle Lanze, in the heart of the UNESCO hills between Langhe and Monferrato, a new event is born: Nero Sublime – The Immersive Black Truffle Festival. From June 20 to 22, this event celebrates the Summer Black Truffle, still little known but rich in gastronomic potential. The program includes sensory experiences, themed dinners, markets, art installations, and educational moments dedicated to truffle culture.
Across the region, numerous patronal festivals will be held, with the most anticipated being that of San Giovanni, the patron saint of Turin. The celebrations will culminate on Tuesday, June 24, but anticipation is already building over the weekend. The highlight will be the grand show in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, featuring the event “Turin is Fantastic”, hosted by Gerry Scotti with the participation of national and international guests.
Finally, this weekend the squares and villages of Piedmont will once again come alive with artisan markets, historical re-enactments, nature walks, open-air concerts, and food festivals. A perfect opportunity to welcome summer with music, emotions, and traditions.
